His name is Brendan Coyle. I was introduced to him through Lark Rise to Candleford.
Ramir has to have both a fatherly aspect and a working man/warrior aura, wise, quiet, and a leader. I know that Brendan is capable of this because he plays a similar character (Robert Timmins) on LRtC.
