Adapting to Disappointment

It's here, it's here, it's here!! What do you think?

*awkward silence*

What, haven't you been following every movie of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader production? Didn't you stay up last night to see the premiere of the trailer at 2AM central (all you lucky west coast people got it at MIDNIGHT!)?

Okay, neither did I. Too tired. I'm getting old. Anyway, the trailer is here, and I'm excited even if I'm a bit disappointed in its...cliche-ness. And how it feels just like Prince Caspian. I'm hoping it's all just to draw in those who haven't practically memorized the books, and that it will all turn out all right in the end.

There you go. Don't ask me where Eustace and Caspian are. I don't know. It's all being discussed at on the NarniaWeb forums, and I've put in my two cents worth.

I don't know. I might never allow anyone to make my book(s) into a movie. It's too disappointing. (I always will remember Paolini's adamant statements that he had nothing to do with the movie. He was very right to say it.) Has anyone ever gotten it right? What was the best movie adaption of a book that you've ever seen? And what was the worst...?
