NaNoWraMo

*deep breath*
I think I know what I'm going to do.

Fact #1: I've written 11,000 words on a new MS since October 15.
Fact #2: There are no other Shiny New Ideas currently vying for my attention.
Conclusion: There will be no official NaNoWriMo for me this year.

It's a little sad. I was looking forward to the midnight start, the adrenaline rush, the camaraderie. But I'm not going to force it, because gaining new ideas and starting them in mad passion is an addiction I don't need to assist. So, the plan:

Since I've written 11,000 words on this new MS and have lots more I can write but no idea where it's going, I'm setting my goal for 61,000 words by November 30. So I'll still write 50,000 words during November. I just won't be starting at the beginning. I guess that's what comes of impatience and starting half a month early (but I never expected it to get this far!).

So, I'm joining Sara McClung in her invention, NaNoWraMo. We're following all the NaNoWriMo rulse but the one about starting at the beginning of the MS. We still have to write 50,000 words during November. I'm still going to be updating my word count and on the official NaNoWriMo site. Feel free to add me as a writing buddy: theprincessspy. (But tell me who you are in the comments here, or I...won't know who you are.) I'll probably also be hanging out in the NarniaWeb NaNo forum (also as theprincessspy), so you can come join the party there, too, if you want. :)
