They Make Me Dance

It's been awhile since I've gotten excited about books. My bank account makes me a library addict instead of an Amazon lover, so I depend on those lovely people called librarians.

Those lovely people happen to have this great new feature on the website called RECOMMENDATIONS.

I give them lots of recommendations. And the asst. children's librarian tells me often, "I got your recommendations, Melody! Those look so good! But they're my budget for the rest of the year." {It's a small library. It's a small town.}

And because I respect the budget, I didn't expect much, and I definitely didn't expect much soon.

Last Friday found me dancing in the library because they had a display for Teen Read Week, and their display included {but was not limited to}:
  • Divergent, by Veronica Roth
  • Like Mandarin, by Kirsten Hubbard
  • Matched, by Allie Condie
  • The Recruit (Cherub #1), by Robert Muchamore
  • Virals, by Kathy Reichs
All these books have been on my TBR list. All these books I have requested from the library. All these books they have taken note of and ordered. And I get to read them. Muhahaahaha! Seriously, I was dancing in the library. I don't get that excited easily - I am not an excitable person. But I was dancing, and squealing - in a library voice, of course - in the LIBRARY!!!!!!!

There is no question that part of my destiny lies in the book-world. They make me dance.

What's made you dance recently?? Life's worth being excited...
