That's Why

When I was eleven years old, I started writing.
When I was fourteen or fifteen years old--the dates are unclear--I finished my first novel.
When I was eighteen years old, I made the decision to follow the publication road.

And I'm still on that road, at the age of twenty-one.

Sometimes I look back and wonder why. But I know why. It's because I love it. Because I can't imagine ever pursuing any other career with the amount of passion that I feel for stories and writing them down. It's just not possible. This is what I love.

Because the writing "job" at its worst...is still better than any other job I've ever had.

That's why. Because I love it.

Because even if I decided to quit--and I haven't--I would still be writing. If I said on Tuesday that I was finished, I'd be starting another story on Wednesday.

Because I love it.

That's why.
