You Expect Them to Fail

I just had the following Facebook conversation with a cousin(ish) of mine. We'll call her AH. I had no idea that she was a writer and had the same dreams that I had. It was making me so joyful, until she told me about her parents. And then I felt as if my heart was breaking. America, how dare you doubt the dreams of your children? They are given them for a reason, and you expect them to fail!
