What Was Reality?

As we all know, I'm about 40K into my current MS. And I figured it was about time for Jenn (the MC) to get conked on the head, knocked out, and awakened in a strange and unfamiliar place. Easy, right? The Hardy Boys did it all the time.

But my brother plays football. And I know about concussions, the result of blows to the head. I know that most of them don't knock you out, but that it still hurts like...um...it still hurts. A lot. And I know that if they actually do knock you out, that's really bad, and you're going to be even more miserable. So.

I was in a dilemma. The football-playing-brother route or the Hardy Boys route? But if I went with reality, with the football-playing-bro, then what was reality?

That's when I emailed Lydia, author of Medical Mondays and savior of writers everywhere. She'll answer your question about getting shot, hypothermia, mercury poisoning, and sleeping pill suicide attempts. And today she answers mine. So go. Read it. Not only is she brilliant, she's also entertaining. :)
