I Cannot Burn Snow

I'm pretty sure it did not get above freezing today.
We have chickens, so we had to reinforce their coop from the wind and cold.
During this project, I wore fingerless gloves to aid in ease of movement.
Consider fingerless gloves in below freezing weather. It, um, hurts.
Someday I shall have a character who has to undergo the pain of recovering fingers. Write what you know, you know?
